Robert began his musical career as an artist in 1968 with his first band, the "Mystifiers" - a 12 piece group.  "I always loved those horns - the icing on the cake."  Since then, playing with numerous groups through the 70's and 80's, he was discovered by musicians in the bay area who were looking to form a "super-group."  With the explosion of Santana, Malo, Azteca, Tower of Power, another super-group was being formed, "SAPO."

With the likes of Richard Bean (Suavecito), Raul Rekow (Santana), Kincaid Miller (Pablo Cruise), Wayne Wallace (Pete Escovedo), Dave Liebman (Jazz Legend),  John Santos (Machete Ensemble) and an assortment of Bay Area talent, Bobby has played with top Bay Area musicians over the years.  After touring and meeting the likes of Stevie Wonder, Average White Band, Herbie Hancock, Paul Simon and  Blood, Sweat & Tears, it was a journey "never to be forgotten."  After finally getting to meet his "mentor" David Garibaldi from Tower of Power, it became the turning point of his musical direction.  He studied with David and met and studied with the late great Jazz Drummer, Tony Williams (Miles Davis, Weather Report, etc).

Bobby is doing drum clinics for high schools and colleges to inspire young, talented musicians to "pursue their dreams."  He also plays with a Jazz ensemble with musicians from college music programs and various symphonies.  He has done music for television and radio commercials, ski films and film scores.

Bobby has also performed / recorded with the following Artists:

Pete Escovedo, Chuck Mangione, Sheila E. (Prince), Armando Perazza, Raul Rekow (Santana), Malo, Sapo, Greg Enrico (Sly & The Family Stone), Tony Menjivar (Quicksilver, Anita Baker), Poncho Sanchez, Tierra, El Chicano, Fania All Stars, and  Ray Baretto.
