Musical Profile

Wavelength offers a smorgasbord of musical styles and textures for jazz and music enthusiasts to enjoy.  Their sound is the product of the diverse cultural and musical background that each core member brings to the group.  Add to that exciting mix the extensive experiences of the contributing artists and  you have music that is uniquely  Wavelength's.

From the Latin roots of some members, to Rock, Jazz, R&B, Funk, and Soul, Wavelength is a refreshing and dynamic fusion of these sounds. Made up of seasoned musicians from the San Francisco Bay Area, this band reflects the sounds and feel of the area's musical landscape. Their unique sound will take you on a journey that you will not want to end.

Wavelength released their first CD titled "Cruzin the Music Highway" in 2003 - check out the Sound Bytes  page for some downloadable MP3 file snippets that are included in the CD as well as links to Internet music sites that stream tracks from the CD. Our new CD project "Masarap" was released November 18, 2005. Cut "Sunday by Tumon Bay" was #1 for 7 weeks on the Radiowave Monitoring Service Smooth Jazz chart and was #2 for all of 2004. Cut "Sorry Sadness" was #2 for 2 weeks and #20 for all of 2004. Cuts "Bliss", "Two of us Together", "Masarap", "Trash Talk" and other cuts from our latest CD are charting at individual online stations in the top 5 for smooth jazz. Currently working on our third CD release "Keep it Going".  Link to 2004 Radowave Monitoring Smooth Jazz chart.
